I had to look this up. 

This dog is named Tiffany and she was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea.

Tiffany is a survivor of a dog-meat farm. During the butchering process, which is made as cruel and painful as possible to improve the taste of the meat, Tiffany ripped off most of her nose, which had been wired shut to prevent her from defending herself while they butchered her.  Somehow this extraordinary dog escaped and has now moved to Canada where she will be getting corrective surgery and a brand new family.

As far as I can tell Tiffany was not from a dog meat farm. And instead is a stray.

For three years Tiffany had lived at “Jane’s Grandpa’s House” with about 200 other dogs under the care of rescuer Park Hee-tae. Park had learned about Tiffany through an Internet discussion after the little dog was found in Bucheon as a stray and brought to an animal hospital in Seoul. No one knows what caused her injuries, but her story shocked many Koreans.

Hey did you guys know that actually treating livestock animals like shit is generally considered a bad idea because it ruins the meat? For example, stress a pig out and you get nothing but water weight on its carcass (which apparently doesn’t stop the bullshit of swine facilities but well there you go). But come on, are you really going to think there’s any validity to the statement “which is made as cruel and painful as possible to improve the meat”?

This may be my ethnocentrism talking but yes assuredly East Asia would be less strict in enforcement of livestock welfare (not that we’re peachy perfect though), but, still, dog meat farms would be no different than other meat farms. There is no special mouth-wiring-shut process. That’s just you making up shit because you’re a fucking racist asshole who can’t imagine that eating a cute doggy can be the same as eating a cow. That’s like all those fuckers who say that people steal dogs from homes and strays to butcher - no, that’s a fucking stupid idea because you have no idea what diseases and medications that dog has gone through and so you don’t know how contaminated its meat will be, nor will you know its muscle to fat ratio, or if it has any viruses or worms, or any sort of very important meat-raising stuff.

What pisses me off most about these sorts of hoax-story pictures is that you’re using someone/something’s pain and suffering to further your hate crusade. Whether it’s someone’s poor fucking stillborn child or it’s a poor fucking dog with it’s muzzle and nose fucked up, you’re just snatching shocking pictures and making shit up to make you look like some sort of saint. You’re no better than that asshole who used the Virginia Tech shootings as some sort of “proof” against violent video games.
