From SumOfUs:
“Amazing! Over 78,000 of us have called on Apple to fix the horrendous working conditions at their factories. The pressure is working — our campaign has gotten massive global press coverage, from CNN to the BBC. Now, we need to take it to the next level.
Next week, Apple shareholders will meet in California at their AGM (Annual General Meeting) to celebrate their most profitable year in history. Apple is now the richest company in the world, with over $100 billion in the bank. But they haven’t taken any meaningful steps to address the deadly working conditions in their factories.
We’re going to deliver our petition directly to CEO Tim Cook at Apple’s AGM next week. But the petition will be far more effective if Apple store managers are also hearing from Apple customers in the lead-up to that meeting.
Will you join us by delivering one page of the petition to your local Apple store before the meeting?
Last week, we delivered the first round of petitions to six Apple stores across four continents, and got worldwide press coverage. And it’s clear that Apple is feeling the heat: On Monday, Apple responded by announcing some factory inspections by a group called the Fair Labor Association.
But the FLA, funded by the corporations it’s supposed to be monitoring, has a terrible track record of effectively protecting workers rights. As ethical consumers we have to keep the pressure up to make sure that Apple takes real action to improve workers’ lives over the next few months.
Will you join us in taking this campaign to the next level by dropping off a petition at your local store, or if there is no Apple store near you, pledging to call your nearest Apple store next Wednesday, the day before the AGM, to tell Apple it has to clean up its act? If you’re not sure of the nearest Apple store, we’ve got a link to a list of them on our site.
Thank you for continuing to keep the pressure on Apple and all corporations that put profits over people.

I don’t think we have any Apple stores around here but here’s for everyone who is an Apple customer and/or has a store nearby.
