From ThePetitionSite:
“Did you know that next month we’ll celebrate the 15th Annual Natural Products Day? There’s plenty of reason to celebrate natural dietary supplements—they keep you healthy, and are a wholesome alternative to prescription medicines.
One way you can celebrate Natural Products Day is by taking a stand against the Dietary Supplement Labeling Act—which would restrict your access to supplements and raise the cost of buying them. »
There is almost nothing new that this act covers that isn’t already in effect via the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994.
However, it would add a caveat that would give the FDA more power to block consumers from their right to choose natural supplements over other drugs.
In honor of Natural Products Day, stand up for your right to access natural supplements by telling Congress to oppose the Dietary Supplement Labeling Act! »
Thanks for taking action!

What I find weird is that they feel the need to do this? Like, isn’t this already done? Online resources list all the adverse health effects you can have if you take too much of x nutrient and shit. Don’t they? Isn’t this already a thing for pharmacists and doctors to warn about and labels too? Or am I completely misunderstanding what this new law is about because yes it literally does sound redundant as fuck and totally time and money-wasting.
